On a garden bench amid a sea of daffodils, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton dropped her bombshell news.
The 41-year-old royal stunned the world when she announced she was expecting her first child with Prince William in December 2012.
And now, almost 10 years on, Kate has revealed the moment she told the Queen she was pregnant with Prince George.
Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate said: "I remember telling the Queen about George and she was absolutely thrilled."
"It was a really special moment and I think it's something that I'll always remember," she added.
Kate also revealed that the Queen gave her some very special advice when she was pregnant with George.
"She said, 'Just take it one day at a time and enjoy it,'" Kate said.
"And that's what I've tried to do."
Kate and William welcomed George into the world in July 2013.
They have since had two more children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The Queen is said to be very close to her great-grandchildren.
In 2019, she was photographed cuddling George and Charlotte at the Chelsea Flower Show.
