Florida Panthers stun Boston Bruins 4-3 in Game 7 overtime to advance to the second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Florida Panthers pulled off a stunning 4-3 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of their first-round series on Sunday, eliminating the Presidents Trophy winners and advancing to the second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Bruins, who set an NHL record with 65 wins during the regular season, had a 3-1 lead in the series but were unable to close it out. The Panthers forced Game 7 with a 5-2 win in Game 6 on Friday.

Carter Verhaeghe scored the game-winning goal for the Panthers at 11:53 of overtime, sending the Bruins packing and setting off a wild celebration on the ice at TD Garden.

Brandon Montour tied the game with just 1 minute left in regulation, setting the stage for Verhaeghe's heroics.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 31 saves for the Panthers, while Linus Ullmark stopped 30 shots for the Bruins.
